rowena federico finn
filipina futurism - fiber mixed media art

DRAWINGS & PAINTINGS
Rowena firmly believes that visual art is as academic and rigorous a subject as any. Even after earning her B.F.A. from James Madison University, she gained most of her knowledge taking workshops and teaching herself the atelier method, which has existed for hundreds of years. Although her current media is mixed fiber art, she still makes drawing and painting a regular part of her art practice. Here, you can see some examples of completed watercolor paintings as well as studies done in a variety of materials like graphite, charcoal, and gouache.
